The shepherdess of my dreams

The shepherdess of my dreams
Like sheep in the fields of my slumber, my dreams are guided by a shepherdess. They follow her clear voice, her slender waist and her tanned legs wending their way through the tall grass. My sleep gambols from one dream to another, leapfrogging. Some sweet, others dark, enticing me to the Esterel of my childhood, to China or to clouds of crinkled sheets, and obey only her as she gaily leads on.
