Typique
When at 21 years of age, Dylan began to share posts, on Twitter and Facebook, of his everyday life at the ULB (Free University of Brussels), little could he have known that this would lead to the beginnings of a successful TV series. It all started with those daily little snubs endured as a student, and told with self-deprecating humor. Dylan is stunned when he finds out, through his smartphone, that he’s got 3000 fans following his antics. So he shows this to Lionel, Benjamin and Jérôme, his three friends who are studying film-making. And without much money, but with a whole lot of enthusiasm, Dylan’s chronicles are transformed into a web series with 500,000 views in just a couple of weeks. Astounded by this success gone viral, the RTBF, the national francophone television, decides to jump onboard the project and finances Season 2 of “Typique”, showing all its episodes during prime time. From Dylan’s first post, with zero subscribers til now, it’s been less than 20 months. Typical ?
