The pleasure of seeing

Do you know why dogs sniff everything, all the time? Because they’ve got thirty-five times more scent receptor cells than us. These are veritable sensory neurons. The pleasure they feel when smelling is thirty-five times superior to ours. Now that’s bliss. Well, I think that my eyes are made like a dog’s nostrils. It’s like I see more than others, that seeing brings me infinitely more pleasure. That’s where photography must come from. The indescribable pleasure of seeing.
