The small Vallon des Auffes won’t be the same without Philippe. My end of Marseille just lost its musician, who had decided to move out to the countryside looking for some peace-of-mind to compose far from the tourists and motherf… Yeah well, no need to repeat what he says. I’d rather listen to his blues albums Swing and Trajectoires, over and over again. In one of these, the man whom Pavarotti trusted composed a little masterpiece called 10 novembre 2007. Funny name for a jazz number. Must be some smokescreen, I guess.
