Nico Lannoo

One of these days, I ought to tell you the story of this artist from Bruges, Nico Lannoo, who felt the need to get rid of all of his own works of art in order to continue to progress. The path travelled had led him to where he was now, so why hoard dozens of canvasses from the past in his bag? Lighten the load to better go forward. So from his canvasses, he built a truly lovely hut on the ZAD of Notre-Dame des Landes. And one night, at dusk, he set fire to it. Thirty years of work gone up in flames of a thousand different colors. To me, an absolute artistic act.
