Let’s prefer not to

There’s a problem with the health pass. There’s a problem with digital IDs. No one seems to be in the least bit worried, but we should be. We’re going through times of candid fanaticism ; so many don’t even question themselves, simply obeying and throwing dirty looks at those who don’t follow along. We don’t want to live like the Chinese, but this is what we’re headed for, and it’s picking up pace. Stop ! Together with the European Covid pass, presented as a solution that ‘restores freedom of circulation’ (as if this weren’t already a fundamental right), individual track and trace, collective surveillance and the scheduled end of cash, the tools of digital totalitarianism are being put into place. This signals a profound change within our society, one which cries out for a real and in-depth reflection by all European citizens. In the meantime, let’s prefer not to accept.
