Happy birthday, Dick Annegarn. It’s been one hell of a route 66 years; you took us along for the ride from Brussels to Toulouse, giving us a taste of the roots of American folk, medieval songs and slam. Honoring the French language as one would a venerable mistress, all the more because she wasn’t yours to start with, just keep it up Dick, don’t stop, coz the French language is lapping it up, preferring your big bear paws to inclusive writing; at Paris’s Olympia or a capella, she’s screaming for joy.
