Atom in danger

Can a virus destroy an atom? And set off a chain reaction? That’s what’s happening right now to Belgium’s most emblematic monument the Atomium. Because of the Covid-19 crisis, the number of visitors has plunged and so have revenues. And when that core liquidity decreases, the danger of an explosion increases. A relic of the 1958 World’s Fair, the Atomium, just like Belgium, could well suffer from devastating fission fallout. Pray they can both hang in there.
